2012 Sauvage Rouge Château Moyau

"Sauvage" is a cuvée of Carignan, Grenache Noir and Syrah, with a small proportion matured in wooden barrels. The grapes come from vines that are up to 70 years old. With the exception of the wooden barrels, the wine is matured primarily in concrete and stainless steel tanks. The wine has a wonderful nose of cherries, plums, cinnamon, mocha, leather, thyme, geraniums and ethereal nuances. On the palate, it is full-bodied, impressively structured, complex, juicy, velvety, with lots of fruit, fine spicy and mineral notes. The wine is elegant and exudes an irresistible charm combined with a pleasant aftertaste.
