Parker-Larner 91 points: Showing mid-weight consistency and a nicely saturated appearance, the 2013 Chianti Classico Riserva Aluigi is a tart and tonic expression of Sangiovese with a pretty succession of wild berry, blue flower and moist chewing tobacco aromas. The wine is earthy and healthy in personality with nice brightness and intensity.
James Suckling 91 points: Lots of dried raspberries, ash, peppermint and cedar spring from the glass. Full body, ripe and round tannins and a medium-chewy finish. Drink now.
Galloni 92 points: The 2013 Chianti Classico Riserva Aluigi is a very beautiful wine. Succulent red cherry fruit, spice and floral notes abound, but it is the wine's texture and persistence that stands out most. Nuanced and silky on the palate, with terrific fruit purity, the 2013 is positively stellar. I imagine it will be even better in another few years. Even so, it is striking today. The 2013 was aged entirely in cask.

This Riserva is the result of a careful selection of Sangiovese grapes from a single vineyard.
Its bouquet is reminiscent of red fruits, leather underlined by a smoky note. Harmonious in taste with impressions of dark fruits such as plum and cherry, combined with a slightly earthy note. Wonderful balance of sweet fruit, acidity and tannins. Long finish. Fantastic! 100% Sangiovese.
