The grapes for this wine grow on high slopes with sandy and stony soils. The wine consists of 70% Montepulciano and 30% Sangiovese.
The grapes are harvested by hand and then macerated in stainless steel tanks for 12-14 days. The wine matures in wooden barrels and then ferments in the bottle for at least 6 months.
The wine has an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections. The nose reveals fruity aromas reminiscent of marasca cherries with jam and hints of plums and spices. The taste is mild and smooth with silky tannins.
The wine goes perfectly with red meat and lightly seasoned sauces.
