What a spring freshness this Pinot Blanc unfolds in the wine glass! The light Burgundy grapes were able to develop not only their typical grape variety aromas such as pear and lemon in the warm, calcareous loess-clay locations around Walsheim, but also invigoratingly fresh pineapple and apple notes.

It is precisely its unobtrusiveness that has brought increasing wine friendships to Pinot Blanc in Italy and Pinot Blanc in France in recent years. As a result, Germany is now home to a third of all Pinot Blanc vines planted worldwide, with a good 5,000 hectares, followed by Italy (3,000 hectares) and Austria (just under 2,000 hectares). In its original homeland of France, it grows on around 1,300 hectares.

In this country, this elegant grape juice proves to be a fantastic partner for asparagus, but it also goes excellently with fine veal schnitzel with potato and cucumber salad, as well as with the traditional dish “Königsberger Klopse” with boiled potatoes.
