Suckling 94, Still very youthful with a fascinating interplay of mirabelle fruit and leesy complexity with notes of fresh chestnuts. Very smoky palate with a wonderful interplay of restrained creaminess, fine tannins and a discrete but animating acidity. Very long finish. From the Oberen Horn site with porphyry volcanic soil, that some think deserves to be a GG site. Matured in used 600-liter oak casks. From organically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but best from 2025.
