2020 RS COTES DU RHONE ROUGE Vermeersch Le Plan - Vermeersch

This wine is made from 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah. The grapes grow in the Rhône Valley on clay and limestone soils. The grapes are destemmed and pressed before fermentation takes place at a temperature of 28°C.

Intense garnet red color, with violet reflections. Rich and intense bouquet with aromas of fresh red fruits, crushed strawberries, blackberries and cherries combined with delicate aromas of vanilla and butter. Crisp and fresh taste with a beautiful freshness, notes of red fruits, melted tannins and a persistent finish.

A wonderful wine to enjoy neat or in combination with creamy (French) cheese and red meat dishes, as well as small game such as duck, pheasant and guinea fowl.
