James Suckling 94 points: Aromas of blackberry, tea leaf, clove and toasted hazelnut. It's medium-to full-bodied with firm, silky tannins. Juicy dark-fruit and spice flavors lead to a long, layered finish. Very fine. Drink from 2024.

Chateau Martinet, a beautiful 18th century manor house, was used as a hunting lodge for a long time before it was given a vineyard with one of the most prestigious wines: Saint Emillion. The vines grow on nutrient-rich sandy-gravel soils and are tended and cared for by the owners day in, day out. The Chateau Martinet wines have won awards at international wine fairs and wine competitions for their complex abundance of delicate flavors and hints of red currants.
Grape variety of this Saint Emilion Grand Cru: about 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Franc. The vines here are on average 40 years old. The wine is stored in oak barrels for 15 to 18 months to mature.
On the nose, hints of wood, vanilla and black currants. Well rounded on the palate and very smooth with elegant tannins.

This Saint Emilion Grand Cru goes perfectly with game, poultry, red meat, lamb or creamy cheeses.
