The old Barossa winemakers refer to their vineyards as gardens. The "Three Gardens" is a modern blend of three traditional grape varieties that have been growing in Barossa since 1840. Shiraz, Mataro and Grenache are used for this wine. The vines of the grapes are 10 to 90 years old. The wine is stored for 12 months in used oak barrels to mature.

The blend of Shiraz, Grenache and Mourvèdre shows a good balance and integrated structure. The blend is characterized by full, ripe fruit, supported by firm but fine tannins, aromas of cherries and blackberries, with hints of chocolate and spices.
