The ripe, tropical and perfumed 2020 Saint Peray Ongrie is something of an anomaly within the appellation, whose wines are more typically less expressive on the nose. It's medium to full-bodied, with a slightly dusty, chalky feel on the palate and a long, pineapple-tinged finish. It's all Marsanne that's been vinified and aged one year in 228- and 400-liter barrels, 30% new.
