Parker-Larner 92+ points: The 2013 Petresco represents specially selected Sangiovese grapes from a single vineyard site in Panzano in Chianti. This is an impressive wine that pushes those Sangiovese color and concentration limits to their maximum extreme. The wine opens to inky darkness with ripe aromas of dried blackberry and blackcurrant. Those fleshy dark fruit flavors are framed by spice, smoke and tobacco.
