Parker-Larner 90 points: The 2016 Dolcetto d'Alba Vigna Scot reveals a thick and darkly concentrated appearance. The bouquet is layered and rich with dark fruit, spice, pipe tobacco and pressed rose. This Dolcetto d'Alba will be released in June. Fruit comes from a two-hectare parcel and the wine is made with submerged cap in tanks with punch downs for three days. It is aged in large oak casks for six months.
Wine Spectator 90 points: This red shows floral, black currant, earth and mineral aromas and flavors. Balanced and intense, yet more traditional in style and not as flashy as many of its peers. Decant. Drink now through 2021. 1,111 cases made. –BS

In the glass it has a deep, dark ruby red color. Its bouquet captivates with notes of red fruits, such as cherries and raspberries, as well as light floral notes. In the mouth it opens with fruity impressions, a discreet structure underlined by a beautiful acidity and minerality. Everything in a very pleasant balance.
