2016 Wente Wetmore Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Charles Wetmore LIvermore Valley Wente Vineyards

From our Family's Charles Wetmore Vineyard in the Livermore Valley.

This Cabernet Sauvignon is a good expression of the Livermore Valley with fruit sourced exclusively from their own Charles Wetmore vineyard. Here there are different soil types, such as clay and gravel. The well-drained vineyard offers us a Cabernet with present tannins and a ripe fruit character that, combined with the natural acidity of the long growing season, makes for a balanced wine. This wine is made from Cabernet Sauvignon complemented with Petit Verdot, Petite Sirah and Malbec.

The nose reveals floral aromas with notes of tobacco. The palate is dominated by ripe black cherries and dark plums with undertones of leather, coffee and spices. Rich tannins ensure a sweet finish.
