Parker-Reinhardt 94 points: Moosbrugger's 2017 Zöbing Ried Gaisberg "1ÖTW" is as pure as intensely aromatic on the nose. Round, lush and fine on the palate, with crystalline structure and salinity and a velvety texture, this is still characterized by the lees' aging. This is a salty-piquant, pure and even crunchy Riesling with great intensity and length. A great wine that should be cellared for 5+ years. Tasted at Grafenegg Castle, September 2018.
James Suckling 93 points: This is rather funky and it doesn't blow off quickly. However, behind this is a concentrated riesling with plenty of textural complexity and a long, spicy finish. Long aging potential. Better from 2020.
Wine Spectator 92 points: Rich and alluring, with floral and ginger undertones evoking the clementine, Meyer lemon and white raspberry flavors. Hints of fleur de sel and blanched almond add to the complexity as this wraps up with a powerful, mineral-infused finish. Riesling. Drink now through 2028. 126 cases imported. –AZ
