Each plot of the vineyard was harvested separately according to the degree of ripeness of the grapes, in order to highlight the complex territorial characteristics of each vineyard. Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes were destemmed and the berries were gently crushed and pressed. The must was placed in stainless steel tanks where alcoholic fermentation took place at a temperature of 16° C. The various batches of wine were carefully and regularly checked and then assembled. In January 2020, the Vermentino from Tenuta Guado al Tasso was bottled.
The Vermentino di Tenuta Guado al Tasso is straw yellow in colour with greenish reflections. On the nose it is of good intensity with notes reminiscent of citrus fruits, citron peel and elderflower. On the palate it shows more firmness without losing its excellent freshness and balance. The finish is persistent with light citrus notes.
Falstaff 91 points: Lightest lemon yellow. Fragrant nose, youthful, with lemons and white flowers, with a fresh stone fruit aftertaste. Balanced and slightly salty on the palate, easy to drink with a slightly bitter undertone, juicy in the finish.
