2020 Gran Maestro Primitivo di Manduria Cielo e Terra

This great and well-known DOC represents the essence of Puglia. Hand-picked, overripe grapes, gently pressed with controlled fermentation. Partly refined in wooden barrels. With the help of the famous Apulian winemaker Beppe, it was decided to challenge the king of Apulian wines. Primitivo di Manduria DOC owes its name to the early maturity that ensures that the first varieties must be harvested in early August. The name DOC was created in 1998 to increase the uniqueness and appreciation of the Manduria Primitivo.

This wine is made from 100% Primitivo grapes. An intense garnet red color. Complex on the nose, with fruity notes of berries and plum jam, with slightly spicy notes of cocoa, vanilla and tobacco. Full and round on the palate, with soft, sweet tannins and notes of red berries, herbs and coffee.

This wine is excellent with red meat, game, roasted meat and spicy cheese.
