This wine is made from 100% Carignano. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is placed in small, fine-grained French oak barrels, used for the first and second time. The wine is aged here for 10-12 months to further develop the biochemical and physico-chemical characteristics. Further aging of a few months in the bottle for an early developed bouquet.
The color is deep ruby red, almost opaque. The bouquet has intense fruity notes of blackberries, blueberries, vanilla, myrtle, leather and liquorice. Wide and velvety on the palate, great structure, persistent aroma. A full-bodied wine.
Excellent with hearty meat, wild boar, suckling pig and mature Sardinian sheep's cheese.
