Schafflerberg is one of the highest vineyards in Fels. For this wine, the grapes are harvested as late as possible, which makes them highly aromatic. The wine is fermented using natural yeast in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. After about 5 weeks, the wine is transferred to another tank with fine yeast to preserve the primary fruit character.
Very fragrant aromas, fresh apple with a hint of stone fruit and melon, delicate tropical fruit. The concentrated fruit is repeated on the palate, but meadow herbs and tobacco are also present. Beautiful mineral vein on the finish, remains light-footed and stimulating to drink despite its strength. Classic, bone-dry Veltliner.
The universal classic for Austrian cuisine, Wiener Schnitzel, pork medallions, boiled beef in all variations, fine fish as well as matured hard cheese.
