The main growing area for Arneis grapes is Roero, a region of beautiful hills on the left bank of the Tanaro river. Here, the calcareous soils with gravel ensure that elegant wines with a wonderful aroma develop. After gentle pressing, the must undergoes yeast fermentation for around 10 days at 16-18 °C. The final and decisive step is a short aging in the bottle to further improve the structure of the wine and the complexity of the bouquet.
The bouquet has aromas of exotic fruits, ripe pear, apple blossom and white plum. Fat in the mouth with a parade of white and yellow fruits (especially peach and apple) that are ripe but sufficiently fresh. A hint of almond on the finish.
The Roero Arneis goes perfectly with antipasti, veal, seafood and shellfish.
