Appealing aromas of red berries such as strawberries and raspberries; elegant and fruity on the palate; perfectly complemented by the floral notes of the Muscat; pleasant finish with an appealing acid structure. The Pinotage vineyards are located in the Breedekloof region. The western border here is formed by the Slanghoek Mountains. The shadows of the mountain slopes shorten the hot days in this region in the afternoon and thus also ensure significantly cooler evenings. These temperature differences allow the grapes to cool down and thus retain their fresh acidity, while still developing ripe fruit notes. Founded in 2002 as the wine division of Afrifresh and based in Constantia (Cape Town), African Pride produces a wide range of wine styles, all of which carry pride in South African heritage, and not just in the company name. To leave a footprint, you have to research tirelessly and be unique - that is what the wines express: the industrious spirit of research of winemaker Mike Graham in the active search for perfect grapes and the unique terroir - soils that were formed 200 million years ago and that have not been changed by floods, glaciers or volcanoes.
