Parker-Larner 91 Punkte: Showing mid-weight consistency and a nicely saturated appearance, the 2013 Chianti Classico Riserva Aluigi is a tart and tonic expression of Sangiovese with a pretty succession of wild berry, blue flower and moist chewing tobacco aromas. The wine is earthy and healthy in personality with nice brightness and intensity.

James Suckling 91 Punkte: Lots of dried raspberries, ash, peppermint and cedar spring from the glass. Full body, ripe and round tannins and a medium-chewy finish. Drink now.

Galloni 92 Punkte: The 2013 Chianti Classico Riserva Aluigi is a very beautiful wine. Succulent red cherry fruit, spice and floral notes abound, but it is the wine's texture and persistence that stand out most. Nuanced and silky on the palate, with terrific fruit purity, the 2013 is positively stellar. I imagine it will be even better in another few years. Even so, it is striking today. The 2013 was aged entirely in cask.
