The 2015 Barolo Mosconi is a dark, potent wine. Black cherry, chocolate, leather, smokeblood orange and licorice add to the wine's virile personality. A big, ample Barolo, the 2015 shows all the natural richness of this Monforte site, where the wines tend to be quite broad in feel. Readers should be prepared to give the 2015 at least a few years in bottle.

Parker-Monica Larner 93, 2020 - 2040,A more subtle offering from Parusso, the 2015 Barolo Mosconi shows more softness and fiber than the other crus, but it has that same ripe fruit and somewhat familiar note of sour cherry. Again, the idea behind this wine is elegance and a more understated approach to those raw and ripe fruit notes. These are wines that can either evolve over the next two decades or be opened in the short term, and with this delicate creation I'd recommend a platter of mild cheeses and charcuterie.

Exotic aromas of berries, grapefruit, dried flowers and cedar. Full body and very intense tannins that are integrated and polished. Beautiful, flavorful finish. Give it time. Try in 2023.
